Two New Certificates in Refugee Services

Two new certificate programs are being offered this spring. The CEU-eligible courses within the programs prepare participants with the basic knowledge and skills to assist in the resettlement experience for refugees.

The Certificate in Macro Practice for Refugee Services is offered to both undergraduate and graduate students. It will prepare students with the specific knowledge and skills to work in refugee serving agencies as supervisors, managers and policy advocates.

The Certificate in Graduate Clinical Practice in Refugee Services is offered to graduate students and clinical practitioners in the community wishing to serve refugees as mental health clinicians. The course will prepare students with particular knowledge and skills required for this healing work with refugees.

Note: These certifications are also offered for credit through Boise State University. Please contact Kathy Tidwell at 426-5937 if you want more information.
