Professional Technical Writing

Getting Positive Results from Proposals, Reports, and Instructions

Learn the key components of technical writing that can guide you in preparing documents that reach your audience and achieve results.

Presenter:

Janet Worthington, Ph.D.

Dr. Worthington has taught technical writing for over twenty years. She established the Technical Writing Program for the Community and Technical College of West Virginia Institute of Technology and served as coordinator for five years. She currently teaches the graduate technical writing course for the Educational Technology Program at Boise State University. Dr. Worthington has presented workshops on business and technical writing for engineers and other professionals in manufacturing, government, and non-profit organizations. Dr. Worthington received a Ph.D from Florida State University in English Education. Her publications include technical articles and books on such varied topics as robotics, surface mine blasting, and gas drilling research. In addition, Dr. Worthington has served as a reviewer for technical writing textbooks.
