3D GameLab

3D GameLab is an online, quest-based platform that re-opens in closed beta this August with a three-week, FULLY ONLINE summer camp for educators who want to engage in and design quest-based learning tied to curriculum standards.

This year's camp is for TEACHERS and INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS, and hosted by the Department of Educational Technology at Boise State University. All synchronous events will occur online in environments such as Skype, Adobe Connect, Twitter, Second Life, World of Warcraft, and more.

In this online summer camp, you will:

Learn how to leverage the unique features of a game-based learning environments that motivate and engage learners
Create an exciting questing curriculum that provides students choices based on their interests, awarding them achievements for completing quests, and is tied to the standards you want to achieve
Integrate the best of social media and social network learning, guided by experts, and coached by your peers.

You get the training and the tools to turn your classroom into a living game!

Registration

There is a three-step registration process:

Pay $295 registration at the 3D GameLab Payment and Guild Registration Page.
(Optional) Following registration for the course, you may register for Professional Education credit through Boise State University. This is done by clicking on either course title in the list below:

Course Fees

The Course Fee is $295.

Optional Professional Education credit fee is $60 per credit. There are two credit options:

1 credit (15 hours of participation)
2 credits (30 hours of participation)
