Getting Started With Boise State University

 

Here is a step-by-step guide to start achieving educational goals with Boise State.

 

1. Apply For Admission

The first step to becoming a student at Boise State University is to apply.

Undergraduate Admissions (if you want to take undergraduate-level courses either as a degree or non-degree-seeking student)
Call (208) 426-1156 or go to admissions.boisestate.edu/apply

Graduate Admissions if you have a bachelor’s degree and want to take undergraduate or graduate-level courses)
Call (208) 426-3903 or go to www.boisestate.edu/gradcoll/

All applications must be submitted with a nonrefundable application fee of $50 for undergraduate non-degree or degree-seeking and $55 for applicants wishing to take graduate level courses. Once the application has been processed, notification will be sent about when to register for classes.

 

2. Register Online

Go to my.BoiseState.edu and click "Student Sign In”. Log in with the username provided and create your own password. Select your "Student Center" and "Enroll." Follow the steps for registering and when you are finished, print a copy of your schedule.

3. Pay Fees

The actual cost to attend Boise State University depends on how many classes, the type of classes, and status as a resident or nonresident student. In addition to these fees, there may also be additional charges for workshops and/or materials, depending on the types of classes taken.

4. Bill Payment

Students may pay their bills online at my.BoiseState, by phone, in person, or by mail:

• Pay online at my.BoiseState with credit card!
Select “Student Center”, “Finances”, then “Make a Payment”

• By phone with the Payment & Disbursement Center at (208) 426-1212

• In person at the Payment & Disbursement Center, Boise State, Administration Bldg., Rm 101

• By mail to:

Payments are due by midnight if made on my.BoiseState. All other payment methods must be done during regular office hours.

Refund Policy

In general, if you completely withdraw from Boise State University on or before the 10th day of the semester for regular session classes, you are eligible to receive a full refund of the money you paid to register (less a $40 complete withdrawal fee).

It is the responsibility of the student to become aware of the refund policy of Boise State University. Please refer to the Student Financial Services website for the most current refund information.

NOTE: Federal financial aid recipients may be subject to alternate refund calculations as specified by federal law.

 

Financial Aid

If using Veterans Administration benefits - Apply for G.I. Bill Benefits.

Complete the online application for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
